Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

The nice folks over at Kiss Me organics sent me a sample of their Organic Matcha Green Tea powder to try.

I’m no stranger to Matcha, I love the stuff – so I welcomed the opportunity to try this brand. I was thrilled that it was organic – that’s all I will even consider buying these days. I whipped up a delicious vegan iced Matcha latte this morning. It was wonderful!

I am really happy with this product. There was no bitterness. Just the pleasant pure taste of green tea. The other big plus with this brand is that it is unsweetened. If you’ve done any shopping for Matcha, then you know that many varieties have added sugar. A big no no in my book.

Kiss Me Organics Matcha comes in a 4oz re-sealable bag and over all, is a good value for the money. Matcha is not cheap by any means and I feel that this brand is comparable in price.

A little more info about Matcha:

The most nutrient-rich green tea, Matcha green tea, comes in a stone-ground powder form – completely unfermented. The best Matcha green tea comes from Japan and is steamed, not roasted or pan-fried. As a result, Matcha green tea retains all the nutrient-rich value possible from the tea leaf.

The health benefits of matcha tea far exceed those of green tea because when you drink matcha you ingest the whole leaf, not just the brewed water. In terms of its nutritional value and antioxidant content, one glass of matcha is the equivalent of 10 glasses of green tea.

Matcha contains an incredible cancer-fighting class of antioxidants known as catechins, which arent found in other foods.

Matcha is rich in L-Theanine, an amino acid that actually promotes a state of relaxation and well-being. L-Theanine creates alpha waves, which lead to a state of relaxed alertness. L-Theanine inhibits any possible side-effects from caffeine (a natural component of green tea). Therefore, matcha aids concentration and clarity of mind without any of the nervous energy that you get from coffee.

Some other benefits of Matcha Tea:

  • Boosts metabolism and burns calories
  • Detoxifies effectively and naturally
  • Calms and relaxes
  • Enhances mood and aids in concentration
  • Provides vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium
  • Fights against viruses and bacteria
  • Lowers cholesterol and blood sugar

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
